The RM of Whitemouth is true to its Manitoba roots with diversified geological beauty mixed with a friendly and courteous community spirit. Communities in the RM include, Seven Sisters Falls, River Hills, Whitemouth and Elma. Comfortably located one hour east of the City of Winnipeg and a half hour east of Beausejour, and 20 minutes west of the Whiteshell Provincial Park. Its this location that drew settlers from Europe in the 1800′s and established as the railway building era began making the communities into a staging and supply centre. One of the first families attracted was that of Dr. Charlotte Ross – Manitoba’s first woman physician who lived and practiced in Whitemouth from 1881 to 1912.  Tour the Whitemouth Municipal Museum showcasing an eclectic mix of artifacts focusing on the rich agricultural, railroad and domestic history, and a cairn dedicated to Dr. Charlotte Ross. Whitemouth is host to the Whitemouth Heritage Day, Sports Days and the CP Holiday Train. Seven Sisters Falls community hosts several events including the tourism award nominated Harvest Party. Elma features historic sites and a farmers market on Fridays. The RM produced a river map for paddling enthusiasts, available on their website.
