Drive Yourself Wild in Eastman!

Pack a bag, fuel up your car or motorcycle and hit the road to one of our friendly Manitoba communities. Discover our back-road villages and towns and explore somewhere that you haven’t been before. There are many options to fill your bucket list and must-dos include golf, horseback riding, hiking, river tubing and wildlife viewing.

Eastern Manitoba communities have wide open arms and highways for you to explore and offers endless outdoor enjoyment. Our historic highways wind their way through 22 Provincial parks and forests so don’t forget your park pass if you plan to stop and smell the flowers along the way.

Paddle Your Way to Adventure!

Paddle a little or paddle a lot. Eastern Manitoba has hundreds of quiet lakes and gentle channels as well as thousands of kilometres of wild, remote and not so remote white-water rivers and waterways, completely devoid of motorized craft. One can paddle on a multi-day river such as the stunning pool-and-drop Bloodvein River, designated a Canadian Heritage River or the Manigotagan River, more accessible but equally as challenging. The scenic Pinawa Channel to Pinawa Dam Provincial Park is a gorgeous place to end a paddle as the sun sets, then explore the concrete ruins of a dam not used in more than half a century. Other day options include a paddle on the Roseau River located along the US/Canada border and the Whitemouth River which spills into the Winnipeg River. These rivers have been mapped out for entry/exit points. Other paddle routes that are accessible are the Brokenhead River and Maskwa River.

Bike or Hike . . . the Trails Await!

Whether by cycle or on foot, pedal your bike or wander through the Boreal Forest, Canadian Shield, pass stunning waterways and prairie pastures. All those who wander are not lost, just follow the trails listed here and discover Eastern Manitoba’s abundant flora and fauna.
