It’s another busy week in the Eastman Region! With so many things on this list, it will be hard to decide what you want to do. This is the perfect week to go out to one, or all, of the Fall Suppers happening in the area because there are numerous workout classes happening to burn off that yummy turkey dinner. If you want to test your mind, head over to Pinnawa for their Annual Quiz Night. No matter what you pick, it’s sure to one memorial event!
The Mennonite Heritage Village Outdoor Village and Livery Barn Restaurant is open for the season. Step back in time while you stroll through the authentic Mennonite village replica. Then relax while you dine on Mennonite foods at the Livery Barn Restaurant.
St. John’s Heritage Church & Arts Centre is kicking off their first Day Camp that will be held on October 4, 2019. Their theme for the day is The Secret Life of Pets. Day campers will be invited to adopt a plush pet and then partake in craft activities where they will create some of the basic needs of their new friend. Arts and crafts will include creating a blanket, a pet house, a collar and food dishes for their new plushy friend. In the afternoon, the child can sit back and enjoy watching The Secret Life of Pets 2 movie with popcorn and juice.
Pinawa’s Annual Quiz Night is Back! The evening will consist of a main trivia game and side games, plus a 50/50 draw. This is a low-stress, high-fun event! It has the feel of a social without the loud music. You’re never asked for an answer as an individual; questions are answered on paper by your team, with team scores being updated periodically.
It’s Garson’s 3rd annual Pumpkin Fest! Spend the day participating or watching multiple contests like the pumpkin contest to crown the person who has the best green thumb; or the pie baking contest. And if baking isn’t right for you, then no worries! You can still take part in the pie-eating contest! There will also be live music performed by Tomas Gut & CO.
Mr. Richards has performed nationally on Canada’s Got Talent. Children and adults love his unique sense of humour, cartoon style, and his eccentric family show.
