As Artist-in-Residence for the week, Justin Lacroix will be setting up at The Beach Exchange and offering songwriting sessions every morning. Registration is at Saffies and is $10 per session plus a donation to the Lake Winnipeg Foundation. Every morning, he'll work with the group on a song that will be later be put to music and performed on Saturday, August 11th at the Concert in support of the Lake Winnipeg Foundation.Â
Sweet Spot Productions & Moon Gate Guest House present Matt Epp Down by the River featuring new music from Shadowlands released June 22, 2018. There are geographies of darkness within each of us. Monstrous thunderclouds, black as pitch, gather and roll over vast Prairies; great lakes pulse and seethe and swell as their depths swallow up every ray of light that pierces their waves. It was into this psychic terrain that Matt Epp walked to harvest the lush, haunted Americana of Shadowlands—an unflinching portrait of the artist dropping his guard to explore and embrace his own twilight wilderness.
Multiple “Rodeo of the Year” winner, the Richer Rough Stock Rodeo is scheduled for August 10, 11 & 12, 2018. Friday Night Bullnanza! Saturday and Sunday Heartland Rodeo! Live music on two stages, lots of activities for the kids and entire family. Giant Trading post with crafts and other goods! Friday night Cowboy Social and Saturday Night Concert/Social!
The Kleefeld Honey Festival has been a yearly tradition since 1970. This three-day event has tons of fun for the whole family. Start Friday night with Movie Night in the park. Saturday will begin with a free pancake breakfast followed by the parade and the 5th annual Chili Cook-off gets underway just in time for everyone to be the judge for lunch. The kids can play all day at the Play Land of Milk & Honey where your kids will play for hours at the carnival, bouncy park, and more great activities.
