A Fine Evening with Sheena Grobb

March 17

Raised by her mother, a music and school teacher and her father a local grain farmer, the Rankin Family and Manitoba-born Loreena McKennitt were on constant rotation. A pilgrimage to Scotland with her mother and sister affirmed Sheena’s longstanding love affair with Europe’s Celtic nations. Later, Irish rock band The Cranberries and Canadian triple Juno Award winner Ashley MacIsaac, influenced her music and ignited her own Celtic heritage from first listen.
