Last year I had the opportunity to attend the first annual Vita & Area Winter Festival.  Being their inaugural event, they did one heck of a job in organizing all the activities, especially the sled dog races. It reminded me of my childhood in The Pas, watching the dogs wait in anticipation for the start gun and run like mad. It’s how I feel every morning coming to work, minus the running though since our home office is only a few steps away.
It seems that it is always exciting times in the tourism industry with its ever changing landscape. With that we would like to share a few of our projects on the go and some great opportunities for our tourism partners.
*Eastman Tourism is in the development stage of a new brand soon to be launched.
*Drive, Paddle, Pedal Adventure is in development and to be launched this spring. This is a great opportunity for tourism business in the northeast region of Eastman. Contact me for more information.
*2018 Visitor guide is in production but there’s still time to submit your events to our calendar. Send your content to us before January 12 to be included. Contact me for more details.
*Join us at the Manitoba Outdoors Show February 9-11 at Red River Exhibition Park. This is Manitoba’s premier outdoor show and a great opportunity to showcase your business by either sending us your brochures to distribute, or better yet, volunteer a few hours to meet potential customers face to face.
*The Eastman Tourism Association is pleased to post a call for nominations to assist with the governance of our organization in 2018. Do you have a passion for tourism? Would you like to affect change in the industry? Meetings are held bi-monthly in various locations through Eastern Manitoba.
Do you know of any new tourism businesses in the region? We want to hear from you. There is assistance and resources available for new business. We’re here to help.
