Rich in Metis history,  it is the flight path of migratory birds, home to the chimney swift threatened bird species – the area boasts the adventures of Amaze in Corn and Ziplines and an annual family fun festival, Mudfest: A Family Messtival and Winter Carnival, and located just south of the community is the Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre.
