Enjoy the Beauty at the Beausejour Daylily Gardens
The Beausejour Daylily Gardens are an absolute must-see. This unique two-acre park boasts a stunning display of peonies, iris’, and, of course, daylilies. The newest addition to the gardens is an edible orchard of shrubs and fruit trees like haskaps, grapes, cherry, apricot, pear, and apple trees.
Fun fact! The Daylily Gardens is the only official American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) display garden on the Canadian prairies! This title makes the experience of visiting the gardens even more unique, as there is nothing else like it in the prairies!
The Daylily Gardens is a peaceful, naturally breathtaking space to recharge your energy and collect an entire reel of Instagram-worthy photos! Instead of packing lunch from home, take your pick from our list of mouthwatering local restaurants for take-out to enjoy under the pergola – just perfect for a picnic!

Discover the Place Where Culture and Nature Meet
Experience culture and breathtaking nature simultaneously at Brokenhead Wetlands Interpretive Trail. Visitors can experience the important connection between the wetland and the traditional Ojibway teachings of Respect, Purpose, Balance, and Interconnection. The Brokenhead Wetland Interpretive Trail contains 28 of Manitoba’s 37 native orchid species, including the globally rare Ram’s Head Lady-Slipper, the Dragon’s Mouth orchid and more common, yellow and pink lady slippers.
Located 50 minutes outside Winnipeg by paved highway and just north of the Brokenhead Ojibway First Nation, the fully wheelchair-accessible floating boardwalk is a 3.66 km return trip and takes approximately 2 hours to complete. While hiking, things to remember are staying on the trail and boardwalk to avoid harming and damaging plants and the natural habitat, no dogs or smoking on the trail, and no parking on the highway when the gate is closed.
Get Your Heart Pumping
Are you searching for a more thrilling, heart-pounding adventure? You can find that in Beausejour with Adventure at Altitude, an ultralight, hang glide, or flying boat adventure located at the Airliner Drive-In.
Fulfill your dreams of soaring through the sky; whether you’re a newbie or an avid glider, Adventure at Altitude is the place for you. Live life on the edge and try their tandem Ultralight Hang Glider SkyRide. During this experience, you’ll fly to a distance of one mile high (5,280 feet) before your instructor shuts off the engine, and you gently glide back to earth in a gentle descent.
With three different experiences waiting for you, the Mild, Wild, or Extreme High Altitude adventures, your instructor will tailor the flight to fit your flying desires. If you feel brave, you can take over the controls and fly the hang glider yourself!
