Close your eyes and envision a banquet feast fit for a King. The tables are lined with turkey and stuffing, meatballs and gravy, biscuits and homemade cranberry sauce, freshly harvested vegetables, hand pinched perogies, mounds of mashed potatoes and prize-winning cakes and pies for dessert. The smells linger together and make your mouth water, while a community comes together and fills your heart with laughter and cheer. It sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

This is the scene happening in communities across Eastern Manitoba as we begin gathering for Fall Suppers. Communities open their doors and their hearts, welcoming residents and visitors to join them at the community table for good food, and even better company.

We’ve put together a list of Fall Suppers happening now until late November. So close your eyes, scroll the list and randomly pick a community or two to visit.

Seven Sisters Falls Harvest Party

There will also be a live band, “the Staggering Haggards”, a pickle contest and largest veggie contest, a silent auction, and the one of a kind, rarely seen chicken poop 50/50! Plus tons of family fun games, activities and crafts including pumpkin bowling, henna body art and face painting.
