Over 300 species of birds can be found within a few kilometers of the Winnipeg River.  Lac du Bonnet along with other regional Municipalities, have joined in as partners to the building of The Great Trail.  Winter activities include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hunting, and ice fishing. The Town of Lac du Bonnet hosts the region’s famous Canada Day celebration fireworks display and the award winning Fire ‘n’ Water Music Festival on August long weekend!
