They say all work and no play makes for one boring life or something like that. Step away from the computer, forget the yard work for one weekend and head on out to Eastern Manitoba where you can take a paddling adventure, watch a jousting match, listen to some great music, and build some great family memeries! 


Sunova Carnival Day

July 27 
Whitemouth Curling Rink – Whitemouth

You're invited to the WRRC's Sunova Carnival Day! This two-part event will keep the kiddies busy all day long! Part 1: Sign your kids up to attend Summer Day Camp with games, water balloon activities, crafts and lots of carnival fun! Part 2: Join the carnival in the evening for the Community Carnival Night where all are welcome to attend! Enjoy tons of great carnival activities with the whole family including, a magic show, face painting, popcorn, bouncy castle, games and more!
 

Caddy Lake Meditation Retreat

Escape the city and join us at Caddy Lake for a weekend of meditations! We will be exploring various forms of meditation including but not limited to: Kundalini, guided visualization, Qigong, fire dance meditation, mindfulness, self-inquiry, walking, focused and independent. We will provide up to ten opportunities for you to explore meditation throughout the weekend. Explore the beautiful surrounding area or go swimming during your free time, sit back and relax by the lakeside fire at night. 

Howl at the Moon Music Festival

Join us under the Buck moon for two jam-packed days of some of the best country music around. Howl at the Moon Music Festival is a great way to spend a mid-summer Manitoba weekend with friends. Spend the days taking in all of the new music the festival has to offer, kicking back at your campsite or exploring the area. The annual Howl at the Moon music festival features country artists from all over Canada. Canadian stars Brett Kissel and Aaron Pritchett are set to headline this second annual event but you'll also be entertained by the rest of the 2018 lineup featuring Greg Arcade, Skylar Bouchard, Julie Ferguson, Waylon's Wing and so many more!

Whitemouth River Paddle Day

Whitemouth Falls – Whitemouth

The race is on – again this year! Canoe, kayak or raft your way down the Whitemouth River from River Hills to Seven Sisters during Whitemouth River Paddle Day! Cash prizes – 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each event and a prize for the best-decorated raft! The 50/50 Duck Races will be back by popular demand as well as kids crafts and activities, paddle board raffle, Food Trailer and Farmers Market. Join the Manitoba Paddling Association for a FREE 45 minute paddle clinic. Try out a canoe, kayak or paddle board. No experience required. Provided by the Whitemouth River Recreation Commission Inc.

Cooks Creek Medieval Festival

July 28 – 29
Immaculate Conception Church & Grotto – Cooks Creek

The Medival Festival is a two day festival of music, dance, chivalry, food, and merriment! Featuring full-contact jousting, heavy combat in armour, archery, merchant marketplace, kids games, live chess tournament, puppet show, medieval petting zoo, the garden of ale, early music in the cathedral, fire dancing, evening banquet and much, much more!
