DIY Homesteader Festival 2019
The fest is a two-day, one-of-a-kind grassroots event in Manitoba, Canada, featuring over 30 workshops on topics ranging from mushroom cultivation to fermentation, permaculture to beekeeping, and more! There’s live music, a DIY Kids’ Area with loads of nature activities, food vendors and a General Store Artisan Market. The fest takes place at Cityfolk Farm, a prairie homestead – 80 acres of forest, marsh, and meadow, a stone’s throw from Lake Winnipeg, near Thalberg, Manitoba, on Treaty 1 territory. It’s a place where you can come to plant your feet on the ground, open your heart to the wide-open prairie sky, and reconnect with skills of the past.
