New and Notable in February – February Is a Month of Fun and Adventure!

There’s always something exciting happening in Eastman, so check out what’s new and notable in February in Eastern Manitoba!

February Free Park Entry

Are you ready for the ultimate February adventure? During the whole month, Provincial Parks are free to enter so Manitobans and visitors can take advantage of the many winter activities they offer!

Manitoba Provincial Parks offer a wide array of activities and programs centred around outdoor education, the environment, wildlife, history, culture and more! During the winter months, Provincial Parks have groomed trails for a variety of activities, including cross-country skiing, snowmobiling (Snopasses are still required for snowmobilers using trails in parks), fat biking, snowshoeing and hiking. To discover upcoming Provincial Park events and programs, please visit their website or Facebook Page.

Family Fishing Weekend (February 19 to 21, 2022)

And the free accesses keep on coming! From February 19 to 21, people can fish in Manitoba without acquiring a license! Whether you’re looking for a fun activity during Louis Riel Day Weekend or just love to ice fish, this opportunity is one you can’t miss! Please note: All other rules and regulations will apply.

Plus, in celebration of both free access to Provincial Parks and fishing, SAYZOONS will be stationed at St. Malo Provincial Park on February 21 with their Winter Recreation Wagon offering access to winter sports equipment and ice fishing rods!
