Road Trip to Ste Anne – Discover Adventure at its Finest

Your road trip to Ste Anne is one that will be filled with history, heritage, nature and yes, even dogs!

Dawson Trail Heritage Tour

Be active while diving into Manitoba’s and Canada’s history and culture!

The Dawson Trail Heritage Tour brings to light the natural, cultural and historical legacy of the Dawson Trail, Canada’s first all-Canadian route linking the early Dominion of Canada to the West.

This self-driven tour will have you travelling along a scenic and mostly paved portion of the current Dawson Road from Richer to Lorette. With the Dawson Trail Art and Heritage Tour’s website as your guide, uncover the people, places, stories and events that helped shape our province and country!

Harness Adventure Mushing Co (Richer)

Adventures with dogs? YES, please! Harness Adventure Mushing Co. promises memorable, unique experiences that you won’t soon forget!

Try their Le “Vas-Vite” Experience that will take you on a dogsledding adventure that you and your group will talk about for years. Your experience will include a welcome into Adventure Headquarters, where the mushers and your dog team will greet you. After you spend some time getting to know the dogs and learning about the sport of dog sledding, you will embark on a sled ride with your musher for a 3 km run through the woods. Upon your return, you can help care for the dogs and warm up with light refreshments by the fire.

Or, for a hardier adventure, try their Winter Glamping and Dogsled Package! Head out on an evening dogsled ride and be delivered to the doorstep of your enchanting overnight accommodations. The new winter wall tent is furnished with a 4-post Queen size bed, woodstove and loveseat! Relax and enjoy the magic of winter in cozy comfort. This is an experience like no other in Manitoba!

Snowmobiling

It’s snowmobiling season! You can find a thrilling snowmobiling adventure in Ste. Anne with Snow Raiders Snowmobile Club Inc! This non-profit, volunteer-based organization grooms and maintains 169 km worth of classic Manitoban snowmobiling trails.

The trail starts at the center of Ste. Anne and stretches out on the Trans Canada #1 Hwy grooming between Deacon’s corner to Richer. Once at Richer, you can then connect north into a scenic trail system where you can warm up at the A-Frame shelter and then continue through the forest to Hwy 15.
