Day 1

Just a short drive east of Winnipeg, your first stop is Richer’s Rough-Stock-Rodeo.   Rich in French and Metis culture, Richer is also home to Dawson Trail Museum and the legendary Dawson Trail.  After the rodeo, head on down to Ti-Beauville Restaurant to their vintage and antiques shop.

Day 2

After a restful night’s sleep, head to Chinos Bistro, located in a greenhouse and landscape centre.  This bistro serves up one of the best wood-fired pizzas in the southeast.  Do some shopping for items you won’t find anywhere else.  Later head into Steinbach for a visit to the Mennonite Heritage Village and experience Mennonite heritage up close and personal.

Day 3

Continue southeast through Sandiland’s Provincial Forest  and stop for a short hike on the many trails.  The flora and fauna is sure to amaze.  Next head to Buffalo Point, located at the junction of Manitoba, Ontario and Minnesota, which overlooks the waters of Lake of the Woods. The Buffalo Point Resort reflects upon Buffalo Point’s indigenous heritage and is a gathering place for the Anishinabe people.  This is an outdoor paradise.
