Let’s Ignite Volunteerism!
This year’s National Volunteer Week (April 19 – 25) comes with a fiery hot theme: Ignite Volunteerism!
Volunteers are the sparks that bring our communities to life.
Plus, this year has been recognized as the International Year of the Volunteer! Volunteer Canada is inviting people from all backgrounds to “Find Your Thing.” This campaign highlights the many personal ways people contribute to their communities and encourages others to spark that same sense of curiosity, connection, and discovery.
As non-profit leaders and volunteer engagers during National Volunteer Week 2026 we come together to recognize and celebrate all the ways volunteers ignite our province.
What can you do to celebrate volunteers between April 19 – April 25?
We’ve got you covered!
Post on social media thanking your volunteers using Volunteer Canada’s Campaign Kit, don’t forget to tag us @volunteermanitoba
Hand write a thank you message to your volunteers; they will appreciate the time it took for you to write something out!
Provide small tokens of appreciation you can purchase on the Volunteer Canada’s website.
Host a Volunteer Appreciation Event, it can be small little gathering during a volunteer shift!
