Do you love art, sports, exercise, workshops, and (let’s be honest here people) wine? You can enjoy all that and more at the Whiteshell Winter Arts Festal! On February 8 and 9, all over the town of Pinawa, are fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, dozens of workshops, competitions and, of course, beautiful works of art.

Make your way to the Art Sale and Pinawa Art Gallery to meet local artists and search for those unique masterpieces that will fit perfectly in your house!

Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes too! There will be live music performed by local musicians!

Pick the brains of talented, local artists and discuss their creative process, what made them start their journey in the arts, or just about anything you have ever wanted to ask.

There is no better feeling than creating something beautiful with your very own hands. All weekend there will be plenty of workshops available where you can design your very own artwork. Create your own clay sculpture, quilting, beginner owl drawing, photography, clay mask, stuffed sock stuffles, and much, much more! And remember, even if it doesn’t look perfect, you should still feel proud of your accomplishment!

For all those who aren’t that into art and were, perhaps, guilted in by a friend or spouse, have no fear! Sports are here too! Participate in friendly games of curling, pickleball and even some fitness, yoga and wellness classes throughout the whole weekend. This one isn’t a sport, but still a great experience – Wine Tasting at Pinawa Solo Market.

If you love spending your time outside then you’ll love tobogganing, skating on the Winnipeg River, and bird watching! You can even travel by snowshoe through the gorgeous trails of Pinawa.

At Pinawa Motel build the best snowman you can for the Snowman Competition; get your wizard hats on and join in on the fun for magical snow painting; try out some awesome snow and ice experiments.
