Are you ready for what’s New & Notable in October within Eastern Manitoba? From new shops in Lac du Bonnet and Beausejour to refreshing, natural products in St. Pierre Jolys, there’s always something new and exciting happening in Eastman!

Lac du Bonnet Welcomes New Shop in Town

New to the Lac du Bonnet scene is Manitoba Made, which, as the name suggests, features a variety of Manitoba-made products and goodies with a focus on supporting Lac du Bonnet and area businesses and artists.

As soon as you walk through their doors, you’ll be welcomed by friendly staff and enter a world of unique items from clothing, home décor, children’s toys and products, food items, art, and a whole lot more! With an ever-growing list of Manitoba businesses, you’ll discover their shelves and racks are constantly changing and filling up with new, exciting products, making every visit entirely new!

You can even find Lac du Bonnet merchandise, so you can remember your visit to Manitoba Made and your trip to LDB in a simple yet fashionable way.

Currently, they are working on developing an online store, so even if you can’t visit them in person, you can still discover all the wonderful products they have to offer.

It’s definitely time for a visit to Manitoba Made, where you can find that must-have item, immerse yourself in stunning, local artwork, and see what the talented and hardworking Lac du Bonnet and Manitoba businesses have to offer you.

The House That Love Built is More Than a B&B

Located in St. Pierre Jolys, The House That Love Built is a charming B&B that offers visitors and guests a home away from home during their adventures in St. Pierre Jolys, but it is a lot more than just a Bed & Breakfast. The House That Love Built also creates and sells naturally made soaps, deodorants, and body butters where you can see and feel the difference of Love Built products!

In their products, you’ll find real fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices from their garden and local farmers’ fields; natural, nourishing clays, pure essential oils and Fairtrade, organic butters that support women in Ghana through Fairtrade employment. The finishing touch is their packaging that are reusable cotton bags made by local Epic SMILE employees (adults with disabilities), refillable tins, and reusable jars.

You can order their products online at MB BIZ or contact them on their Facebook, or if you’re in the area, stop in and say hi at their shop/B&B in St. Pierre Jolys.

Pennyweight Market Expands

If you have visited Beausejour, then you definitely know about Pennyweight Market. And if you needed more of the incredible floral and giftware items they offer, then you just got your wish! New & Notable in October is the doors opening to Pennyweight’s sister shop, The Floral Merchant, offering residents and visitors of Beausejour even more opportunities to explore the world of local products and items.

This flower and gift shop has all the swag, charm, and welcoming environment as Pennyweight, but with even more of what we love about this store! So don’t be shy! Give The Floral Merchant a visit, and congratulations on their expansion!
