Help bid a farewell to our migrating friends this weekend by joining the Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary for their Migration Celebration!
The Visitor Centre is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday through Thanksgiving Monday. Make sure to drop by during the open hours for coffee, crafts and observing wildlife up close. There are also countless fun and exciting activities for the whole weekend!
Head over to Seven Sisters Falls for a 15 km guided bike adventure on the Trans Canada Trail to Seven Sisters Dam. Check out the single-track trail that winds its way through the boreal forest and along the Winnipeg River. On the ride take in the colours of Mother Natures canvas. Bike across a hydropower dam built in 1931 and hear the roar of the water coming through the spillway.
Head out to Pinawa for a 5 km guided hike through the boreal forest to a quaint cabin in the woods. Take in the fall colours and enjoy a hot dog cookout with roasted marshmallows for dessert.
You don’t have to be a local to take part in one of these great community events. Stop on in, try something new, and make some great friends!
