Spirits on 406 is back! The great part about this event is that it has both a family-friendly section and a terrifying haunted house for those who are ready to face their fears.
From October 24 to October 26, children of all ages can go on a scavenger hunt while exploring the creepy Shack in the Back. For those who are ready for a challenge, on October 25 and 26, you have a chance to experience the most twisted Halloween theme yet . . . Christmas. Try to find your way out of the haunted Christmas house as Santa Claus, Rudolph and all your favourite Christmas characters turn into your worst nightmare.
St. John’s Heritage Church & Arts Centre will be hosting a Halloween Spooktacular Pary Day Camp. Their arts and crafts for the day will include carving pumpkins and creating mason jar lanterns that will be taken home at the end of camp. In the afternoon, you get to dress up in your Halloween costumes and enjoy various party games and activities.
Can’t get enough bats? Discover more about these fascinating creatures at this family-friendly workshop – Bat Box Building Workshop. Each family will get to make their own bat box to take home or hang in the park, providing bats with much-needed habitat to combat white-nose syndrome.
A Trunk or Treat is a Halloween Trick or Treat event with a twist! People decorate the trunks of their cars and show up at a designated spot, and kids dress up and “trick or treat” trunk to trunk.
There’s more than just treats too. There will be tons of games for everyone to enjoy, prizes, hot chocolate and hot apple cider and best of all – the Lion’s Club Pac Man Maze
