This week is jammed packed of all sorts of great events in Eastern Manitoba. We've got two music festivals, a birthday celebration and a country fair, a yoga retreat and wagon trails rides! This weekend, head on over to our neck of the woods and discover how your heart beats in Eastern Manitoba.

Photography Evening with Alexandra Ross

July 19
Tall Grass Interpretive Centre – Stuartburn

Alexandra Ross is a visual artist working primarily in ceramics, print, and photography. Her art disrupts the constructed tensions between chaos and order; human and animal; sublime and mundane. Her work seeks to find the liminal space between these dichotomies and expose areas where the line is blurred or reversed. Alexandra is currently completing her BFA at the University of Manitoba’s School of Art. Join Alexandra for an evening of photography while exploring the tall grass prairies.

Sundial Music Festival

July 20
Pinawa Sundial – Pinawa

Entering the festival scene this year, the Sundial Music Festival is starting off small and intimate, so if you're taking our advice and entering the world of music festivals, this would be a great one for you to test the water in. While it may be short and sweet, the lineup packs a lot of punch! Featuring Dan Frechette & Laurel Thomsen, The Deeds, Odder than Otters, and  Amadians .

Pinawa's 55th Birthday Weekend!

July 20 – 22
Various Locations – Pinawa

If you're looking for a way to fill your entire weekend, Pinawa has you covered with their 55th Birthday Celebration! Head on out to catch the Lund Mania Boat Parade, participate in the Lund Mania Fishing Tournament, take in the arts at the Pinawa Art Gallery Show and Sale and the 14th Annual Summer Town Market, participate in the family fun beach activities, check out the Sundial Music Festival, and the Beer Gardens with live entertainment, and of course enjoy the amazing fireworks display happening at the marina.

Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat

July 20 – 23
Moongate Guest House – Whitemouth

The summer months are a time of light and warmth, and the energy of summer radiates at a high vibration. To balance the heat and energy of the summer season, aim to cultivate the opposite environment on the inside of the body — cool and calm. The Feed Your Soul Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat will teach you how to balance your pitta energy through Yoga, Meditation, Self Care, and Ayurveda Cooking.

Summer Winds Music Festival
