The Listening Room is back in action! Head over to Lac du Bonnet to experience Richard Inman live!
Richard Inman is a staple of Winnipeg’s folk and country scene. Blessed with a rich baritone voice and delicate musical touch, he crafts mature songs that feel at once deeply familiar and bracingly fresh. Regarded by everyone who knows him as ‘The Real Deal’, Inman’s musical stories are bound to hit you right where it counts.
Inman’s love of country music began as a child, listening to Johnny Cash and George Jones on the radio with his family. After a brief stint in a metal band during his teen years, Inman returned to his roots. His debut into the music world came in 2014 with the opportunity to play at the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s Galaxie Young Performers program.
Richard Inman has spent the past five years gigging all over, sharing his stories will delighted crowds across Canada. With three albums under his belt and a whole lot of unrecorded songs to share with his fans, Richard Inman’s music will become a staple in your music collection.
Discover the fun family activity of ice fishing! Learn the techniques and regulations then head out onto Lyons Lake to a pre-drilled hole to try to catch a trout, raised at the local Whiteshell Fish Hatchery. All gear provided, or bring your own!
Music, Food, & Friends with Jeremy Proctor is the second event in a new series at Moon Gate Guest House, born from our Metis and French roots. Welcome to Moon Gate Guest House’s kitchen, where friends gather for delicious food and Manitoba music!
On the 21, experience delicious food, fantastic music, and one heck of a good time!
Featuring Jeremy Proctor, singer songwriter from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.
Jeremy has been writing and playing music for most of his life. He sings his own lyrics and has written songs, produced independent records and traveled, playing shows in most Canadian Provinces and Territories over the years.
His music could be described as ‘Folk’, however, it’s his lyrics and finger style guitar that stand out. Bending genres and making people laugh and stamp their feet, singing along while they may not know the words to his songs. Some memorable performances include the Winnipeg Folk Festival, local CD release parties and other shows at the West End Cultural Centre.
