The lazy days of summer are slowly coming to end. With a few weeks left of summer to enjoy we hope that you'll find great adventures in the Eastman. This week, we've got some lively options to choose from. The first Harvest Festival is this weekend, or perhaps a horse show or street hockey tournament is more your style. Plus we've got tons of great activities coming to end an end soon, so if you haven't been out paddling in Whitemouth or haven't been arting in Pinawa, or attended one of the great educational talks at our local provincial parks . . . you'd better hurry and squeeze them into your schedule! 

Tolstoi & Area Harvest Festival

Get ready for an action-packed day at the Tolstoi & Area Harvest Festival! Kick it all off with a Pancake Breakfast then head off to participate in the Family Slo-Pitch Tournament, walking tours of Tolstoi, Children's Activities with games, petting zoo, face painting and more; try your luck at the Horseshoe Tournament; enjoy live music and cold refreshments, learn how to make perogies, enjoy the classic car shoe, stop for a quick dinner Perogies and Sausage, and then dance the night away at the evening social featuring the band, Cold Hard Cash. 

St Malo Street Bash

Hockey enthusiasts everywhere should head on out to the St Malo Street Bash! Start your day by fueling up at the pancake breakfast, then register your street hockey team and compete in the tournament! Spectators are welcomed to watch the games or participate in tons of other great activities like the Kid Craft Tent and Activity area, Slapshot Radar, an outdoor social, teen zone, petting farm, beer gardens and entertainment, and more! 

14th Annual Sundown Gymkhana

Everyone is welcome to enjoy or participate in the 14th Annual Sundown Gymkhana, a fun country horse show! Corral your family and head on out to Sundown to watch the horse show, enjoy a perogy supper and live entertainment, free camping and more!

Get ready to party Fiesta Style at this great event hosted by Grand Pines Golf Course! Come in your best costume, listen and dance to the Latin sounds, take a swing at the piñatas and try a variety of Margarita.

Heritage Day

August 25
Grand Pines Golf Course – Traverse Bay

Celebrate Cooks Creek Heritage Museum's 50th anniversary at the annual Heritage Day! Head on out for a fun-filled day with performances by local musicians and dancers, pioneer activities, food, vendors, and games and crafts for all ages. The event will be on Sunday, August 26th, from 12-5 pm, and all proceeds from the event go towards the maintenance of the museum.
