It’s an exciting week for Canada! The celebrations for our great country’s birthday are starting this weekend and the Eastman Region is ready to kick off the activities and show everyone a great time. Check out our list of the hot events happening this week and decide where you should celebrate!

An Evening with the Trappers

June 28 – Falcon Lake Amphitheatre – Whiteshell Provincial Park

Take an evening with trappers and discover how trapping helps manage our wildlife, and how the practice has evolved with an honest to goodness local Whiteshell trapper. Afterwards, stay tuned for our feature film: Fur – the Fabric of a Nation.

Lac du Bonnet Lions Canada Day Celebrations

June 28 to 30 – Lac du Bonnet

Stop by the town of Lac du Bonnet to enjoy this three-day party with various events happening everywhere in Lac du Bonnet all weekend! Wonder Shows will be set up all weekend for people of all ages to spin and get dizzy on rides. Grab a snack and head over to the baseball diamonds to watch the Mixed Slo-Pitch Tournament. If you’re a fan of cars then you don’t want to miss the Car Show that fills the street with classic cars. Bring your lawn chair and a few friends to look at the night sky as it lights up with beautiful fireworks. And that’s just the beginning of  Canada Day Celebration in Lac du Bonnet!

Summerfest Gone Country

June 29 and 30 – Hill Top Resort – Grand Beach

Summerfest has Gone Country! This two-day event is featuring very talented artists like cowboy boot tapping country music artists Banned & Outlawed on June 29th at 7:00 PM; Shania Twin, a fantastic Shania Twain tribute act on June 29th at 9:00 PM; and high energy band, Fresh Horses, that performs all the hits of Garth Brooks on June 30th at 9:00 PM. This is one fest you can’t miss out on!

Canada Day Weekend Celebration

June 29 – Rock Garden Campground – Richer

Join Rock Garden Campground to celebrate Canada Day with a live music night featuring The Cracked Egg Shell, and fireworks on the Saturday evening of the Canada Day Weekend.

Vita Canada Day

June 30 July 1 – Vita

Vita Canada day is the biggest Canada celebration in the southeast! Come out for this exciting two-day event, featuring rodeo, motocross, live local entertainment, baseball, and so much more! Festivities start June 30 with a perogy dinner at the Vita Hall and end July 1 at dusk with our infamous fireworks by CanFire. Food trucks, kids activities and beer gardens will be available throughout the day. Don’t miss this big small-town event!
