The most obvious activity in St. Malo is, of course, visiting the St. Malo Provincial Park. With a variety of outdoor activities, St. Malo Provincial Park offers something for everyone!

Treat yourself to a beach day at one of the two beaches that inhabit the Park. Whether you’re slashing in the water, working on your tan, showing your sportsmanship on the volleyball court, or playing in the sand, you can relax the way you deserve!

With calm waters and the absence of powerboats, the beaches provide the perfect location for canoeists and boardsailors to have a peaceful experience out on the water. If you need paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards, visit Water Fun Rentals for your paddle equipment needs!

After all, that fun on the beach, take a leisurely stroll down the trails and Rat River Dam. The breathtaking natural scenery is just what you need for a relaxing day. The trails are suitable for novice hikers so that everyone can enjoy it! Experience the sight of trembling aspen, bur oak, balsam poplar, chokecherry and wild plum that scatters along the trails, along with wildflowers and unique plant life.

While visiting the St. Malo Provincial Park, you can even hit a couple of balls on the green! St. Malo Golf & Cabins is located only a short walk from the second beach in the Park. This nine-hole golf course offers a fun afternoon while surrounded by the stunning landscape of the Park. The St. Malo Shrine and Grotto is a reproduction of the Grotto in Lourdes, France. This astonishing site is a hidden gem that will leave you awestricken by its sheer beauty. Situated by the Rat River, the site offers a peaceful experience of history and sight-seeing. Lines of pews inhabit the area in dedication to people in the local area, along with stations of the cross and church atop the branched staircase.

The location is perfect for unwinding while taking in the gorgeous scenery and historical monuments. Don’t forget to pack a lunch for a lovely picnic at the St. Malo Shrine and Grotto.
