In the 14th Century, February 14th became associated with romantic love within the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer. By the 18th Century, the day had evolved into the celebration we still practice today, one in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting gifts such as flowers, chocolates, and greeting cards.

Open for a half day on Valentine's Day for anyone wanting to show the animals some love and soak up the wonderful happy energy of our sanctuary.
