Cedar Bog Trail (Birds Hill Provincial Park)

At Birds Hill Provincial Park, you get the chance to explore many trails and participate in various activities. But trekking through Cedar Bog Trail via snowshoe is a must-do adventure!

Not only is this 3.5 km loop trail perfect for all skill levels, but it also provides incredible sights. Along the trail, you will see Aspens, open grasslands, wildlife such as snowshoe hares, lynx, blue jays, black-billed magpies, white-tailed deer and many more.

Of course, you will also see cedar bog! The impressive eastern white cedars are simply magnificent.

Crow Wing Trail (RM of Emerson)

The RM of Emerson is ready to give you the best snowshoeing adventure possible! Grab your snowshoes and head out to Emerson’s section of the Crow Wing Trail!

At 193 km, the Crow Wing Trail is one of the longest sections of the Trans Canada Trail in Manitoba, making it the perfect place to start your next snowshoe adventure! The trail connects Emerson to Winnipeg through the municipalities of Emerson-Franklin, Roseau River First Nation, De Salaberry, St-Pierre-Jolys, Niverville and Ritchot.

For any outdoor enthusiast, the Crow Wing Trail is a paradise, providing the perfect locations for bird watching, photography, fat biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, or simply taking in the sheer beauty of nature.

Sunrise Corner

There are endless options for your next snowshoeing adventure in Sunrise Corner (RM of Piney and RM of Stuartburn)!

Sandilands Provincial Forest is a must when it comes to snowshoeing. Home to Majestic pines, a plethora of wildlife, and an incredible, relaxing atmosphere, you’ll have both a thrilling adventure and a rejuvenating experience.

The Tall Grass Prairie Preserve in the Rural Municipality of Stuartburn stretches for miles across bushland and open grasslands. Two interpretive trails are open in summer and winter: The Prairie Shore Interpretive Trail and the Agassiz Interpretive Trail, and both are excellent for snowshoeing.

St. Pierre Jolys

St. Pierre Jolys is another community where you have the opportunity to explore the Crow Wing Trail and the Trans Canada Trail. Starting at the St. Pierre Museum and then twisting through the Parc Carillon, you can have an exciting and beautiful snowshoeing adventure here!

J’em Bistro and SAYZOONS are also putting together an incredible and safe event! Stew & Shoe is an outdoor adventure mixed with some delicious food! Taking place on January 29, you can purchase a package that includes snowshoe rentals for 50 minutes followed by homemade beef stew or vegan chili and a hot beverage ($20.00 per person or family rate of $70.00 for four people).

Top of the World Trail (Falcon Lake)

If you are looking for a trail that leads to a breathtaking view, the Top of the World Trail is just the place for you! This 4 km loop trail travels through rocky and forested landscape, with the highlight of the hike being the highest elevation point in Falcon Lake. When you reach this point, you can overlook the gorgeous Falcon Lake scenery.

Snowshoeing along this trail will be an out of this world experience, and there isn’t a trail in the Eastman quite like this one.
