Pioneer Day CampWhat is it? Pioneer Day Camp enables children to experience how life was lived in a 19th century Mennonite village through exciting activities, games and crafts! Your child will be able to explore the village along with other kids and have a week full of fun! What do kids do there? Campers are given the opportunity to try a variety of hands-on pioneer activities. These include: • Baking schnetje (biscuits) • Working with tools in the Blacksmith Shop • Grinding wheat with a Miller • Playing traditional Mennonite games When is it? The program is offered for two weeks during July and August, running Monday to Friday 10:00 am – 4:30 pm. July 9-13 for ages 5-7 August 13-17 for ages 8-10 How much does it cost? If you register before May 31, the cost is $120.00 (equal to ONE FREE DAY!) If you register after May 31, the cost is $150.00. Visit www.mhv.ca to register.
