Celebrating Stories and Music

Join us for our 6th annual “Celebrating Stories and Music” on Thursday, April 19th. We are pleased to have Stories presented by Brenda McKenzie, an artist and author from Pinawa. Her illustrations are seen in Peggy Halstead's book "Teddy 'n' Me." Her novel "Loving You" follows a couple who become caregivers to the family matriarch who has developed dementia. Their journey answers the question, "What next?" Music will be presented by Hannah Leigh Strachan and her students from Vivo Harmonics Music. Hannah has been a music instructor for over 10 years and has experience playing/ performing on over ten different instruments, but chooses to focus mainly on piano, vocals and songwriting. Hannah believes strongly in the importance of individualized instruction, and works hard to create a flexible and fun learning environment where all students will grow as musicians and learn to love music in their own way. The evening kicks off at 7:00 p.m. There will be a short intermission mid-way to enjoy refresh¬ments and get to know our talented guests. Free admission! We hope to see you all!
